AIS Establishes New Presence in Washington, D.C.
McMickle, former Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee, played an instrumental role in drafting the bankruptcy reform legislation enacted in 2005. He has authored various articles and legal manuals on bankruptcy issues, in addition to representing numerous financial services players in Washington, DC.
McMickle will assist American InfoSource in monitoring state and federal legislative developments and provide strategic counsel on issues associated with bankruptcy rules, debt purchase and debt settlement.
The new partnership gives American InfoSource a permanent presence in Washington, enabling the organization to deliver unmatched legislative insight and support to its clients.
“We know that this addition will be an invaluable resource for our customers,” said Blake Hogan, President of American InfoSource. “John McMickle and the extensive experience he brings with him will help our clients stay ahead of potential regulatory issues and proactively develop processes and systems that ensure compliance.”
McMickle is the latest asset to AIS’ new Compliance and Government Affairs Initiative. In January, American InfoSource retained the services of Lawrence Friedman as Outside General Counsel. Friedman is the former Director of the Executive Office for U.S. Trustees.
Prior to his appointment as Director, Friedman engaged in private practice of law and served as a panel trustee in the Eastern District of Michigan, where he administered over 10,000 bankruptcy cases. At the time of his Justice Department appointment, Larry served as president of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
American InfoSource is the leading source of debt recovery solutions providing information, account management, and debt purchasing services for credit grantors.
